That's life at the moment: first Dee Why last week, then Bermagui on the weekend, and then Byron Bay - Australia's most easterly point. I set an intention this year to have more beach time, and presto - the universe is delivering big time. Woo hoo! What about you? What was on your wish list for this year? Is it happening yet? This week's article is on what may be holding you back - the belief that change is a slow process. It's not! More limiting than that is the belief that you need to change. You don't need to change, and you can change in an instant if you want. Yes, this is full of paradoxes. And they all make sense. Trust me. Onward ho! Zoe How fast can you change? I was working with 'Susan' this week and she lamented the Psych-K technique was not working on the belief, "I can change." She felt frustrated and stuck. What was obvious to me was that the belief, 'I can change' is not actually very helpful. It implies that she is not ok as she is. And when you feel you are not ok, you feel lousy. And when you feel lousy, then you are in a state of struggle. And when you are struggling, you are definitely out of resonance with all things good. No wonder she felt frustrated! Such is the value of coaching - it can pinpoint the real issue in a heartbeat. For Susan, what she needed was not 'I need to change', but 'I accept myself, I love myself, I honour myself'. You should have heard the relief in her voice with that realisation. The vibe of acceptance is completely different to 'I am not ok'; the vibe of acceptance is strong, positive, and flowing. And when you feel positive, strong, and flowing, you can take powerful actions in the direction of your desires. It's an incredible paradox that when you arrive at acceptance and peace, all things really do change. And the starting point is you - choosing to be free, choosing to be 'ok'. Intellectually you probably 'get this', right? You know that accepting 'what is' is the path of peace and the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. However, you might be like Susan, and really feel that you need to change, even when your mind tells you 'no you don't'. Bridging the gap between what your mind knows and what your body feels is an experiential process. All you need to do is release the energy around the old limiting beliefs and presto, your cells will be on board, and you will really feel the difference. You will really feel, in your body right to the very bones, that you are indeed ok, just the way you are. And then waves of peace will wash you downstream towards everything you've ever wanted. No more struggle, no more doing it the hard way. So how fast can you change? Deciding to accept 'what is' takes an instant. Integrating this in to your cells takes just a few moments with a powerful technique like Psych-K, fluency, or EFT. The power of this stuff is incredible. Here's what a few people have been saying: "It was an amazing session - it blew me away. I feel terrific. I feel calmer and more centered, and already more willing to simply enjoy the journey." - Dallys B, Canberra "Zoe's guidance and techniques have not only allowed me to release old thoughts and beliefs that were no longer serving me, but also to gain the focus I needed to create a passionate life. Now my relationships are improving, I am actively pursuing a major career change and trying out for a rock band. - Tracey O., New York You deserve a passionate life too. Go for it! Sign up here: http://tinyurl.com/2oo2nc Book Review: The Astonishing Power of Emotions Let your feelings be your guide - by Esther and Jerry Hicks (The Teachings of Abraham). This is another great book by the funky Hicks dudes. The premise is fairly simple. The central metaphor is that all things and beings are in the stream of well-being. Everything we desire is downstream. People tend to paddle upstream with their negative thoughts and beliefs, making it harder for themselves. Most of the book are examples of how to turn what seems like dead-end challenges (like 'my husband criticizes my driving' and 'I can never lose weight') and shows you how you can reach for better-feeling thoughts. A good one for the Law of Attraction library. Sharon Wilson is the founder of the Coaching from Spirit Institute. She is offering a free teleseminar on Thursday March 20th on, "The Missing Element to your Entrepreneurial Success". Check it out here: Laser Thoughts "Nothing endures but change." - Hereclitus "Everything changes. Nothing perishes." - Ovid "If we don't change, we don't grow. If we don't grow, we aren't really living."- Gail Sheehy Canberra Corner: Sales Innovation Last week I had a chai latte at Manuka Fine Foods with Sales Innovation founder Craig Munns. Not only was the latte terrific, but Craig's few insights on how to vamp up my sales were spot on, straightforward, and powerful. Stuff like determining my target market. While this is nothing new in business planning, Craig's simple methodologies in how to be more specific and combine this with effective demographic research were brilliant. Craig offers nation-wide sales services, including the valuable sales mentoring service. www.salesinnovation.com.au About Zoë Zoe has paddled 30 weeks by canoe in Northwest Ontario, run 6 marathons, hiked hundreds of kilometers in Australia's outback, worked ten years at Outward Bound, survived cancer, married a fair dinkum Aussie bloke, and wrestled a 6 meter crocodile.
